Asian Outreach has six programs that create physical, emotional, economic, educational, spiritual and social transformation in 18 countries located in the Asian region.

We believe that in order to reach the fullest potential a person’s life must change inside and out. By implementing the above six programs total transformation occurs at the individual, community and national level. The programs permeate through all levels of society and are run by indigenous leaders and workers
who provide holistic, integrated and sustainable solutions to the total needs of Asia.

Health

The goal of the Health Program is to implement sustainable community-based healthcare solutions through education and
medical relief to impoverished people in Asia. The Asian Outreach teams partner with health officials, community leaders and other NGO’s. In Cambodia, over 200,000 impoverished patients have been treated through our clinics and health programs in the past decade.

Education

The goal of our Education Program is to empower and equip children and youth to reach their full potential through learning. Working with local community leaders Asian Outreach has assisted in achieving that goal. September 2007 saw 275 previous school dropouts, aged nine to 18 years, attending the two year Literacy Program in Mongolia which aims to educate students in order for them to either re-enter school at the correct level for their age or sit their school-leaving exams. Two of 2006’s graduates are now attending university!

Community Development

Transforming impoverished areas across Asia into self – sustaining communities is the goal of the Community Development program. Local people groups are empowered as we provide them with the skills, training and support needed to effect long-term change. Asian Outreach raised RMB5Mn for China’s ‘Program of Happiness’, which gives revolving loans to impoverished women to start their own businesses. To date, the loans have helped 154,000 families rise
out of poverty and impacted over one million people in their communities.

Spiritual Development

In order to realize Asian Outreach’s goal of seeing all people groups in Asia give their lives to Christ, we are working in strategic partnerships with local churches, indigenous community initiatives and evangelistic groups. Asian Outreach trains locals to realize their unique potential in Christ and walks alongside them in their ministry as they develop spiritually. Asian Outreach’s Great Commission Institute has equipped thousands of workers in countries from
Mongolia to Vietnam and from Bangladesh to the Philippines over the past two decades resulting in hundreds of new churches planted every year.

Leadership Training

Investing strategically in local leaders to impact, influence and transform nations is the goal of this Asian Outreach backbone project. From training church leaders to providing mentorship to government departments, individuals who have attended the Asian Outreach training programs are bringing positive change to Asia’s struggling nations. Since 2006,
hundreds of China’s emerging leaders from various backgrounds, including the marketplace, church, and even the government have benefited from mentorship coaching as well as accredited programs organized by Asian Outreach.
 

Literature & Resources

With the goal of creating culturally relevant tools for effective spiritual training and outreach, Asian Outreach has been printing Bibles, tracts, books and written courses for the past 40 years, and has distributed them to people who likely would never have had access to such resources of the gospel. In 2007 alone, 320,000 pieces of gospel literature was printed in and for Vietnam, a record year to date. Recently, 20,000 Bibles have been printed and distributed to those suffering great loss in the devastating 2008 Sichuan earthquake in China.
